UA Local 400 is always looking for qualified apprentices including women who are welcomed and are paid the same as men. In this video from Building Wisconsin TV, we feature UA 400 Welding and Pipe Fabrication Training. Host Stuart Keith visits the UA 400 Training Center to learn about the different pipe trades apprenticeship programs. Then we’ll check out on-the-job training at Bassett Mechanical with President Kim Bassett and Fabrication Foreman Cody Blauert. Finally, apprentice Maddy DeJardin talks about working for Bassett Mechanical as a steamfitter while training at UA 400 and her experience with their Youth Apprenticeship Program.
