It’s been said that there are only 2 seasons in Wisconsin: winter and road construction. As winter winds down and road construction ramps up, we’ll review last season’s accomplishments in this video from Building Wisconsin TV. Host Stuart Keith meets with WiDot Secy. Craig Thompson to follow up on a major project near Madison and review other projects around the state. Stu also meets with WI Operating Engineers Local 139 President Terry McGowan to see how their members completed the Hwy 12/18 project involving a new bridge overpass, installation of roundabouts, water management and reclamation of adjacent land. We’ll finish up at the WI Operating Engineers Training Center In Coloma with Robb Kahl from the Construction Business Group to learn how students throughout Wisconsin can get started on an Operating Engineer career while in high school and be ready to graduate into an apprenticeship.
