2024 road construction projects are already well underway. In this video from Building Wisconsin TV, we review 2023 projects as host Stuart Keith meets with WiDot Secy. Craig Thompson who updates a major project near Madison as well as other projects around the state. Stu also meets with WI Operating Engineers Local 139 President Terry McGowan to see how their members completed the Hwy 12/18 project that involved a new bridge overpass, installation of roundabouts, water management and reclamation of adjacent land. We finish up at the WI Operating Engineers Training Center In Coloma with Robb Kahl from the Construction Business Group who tells how high school students throughout Wisconsin can get started on an Operating Engineer career while still in school and be ready to graduate into an apprenticeship.
