Learn about a career that includes building new and restoring old buildings as we feature the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Wisconsin (BACWI). We’ll start at Building Advantage’s Construction Career Fair being held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. We’ll see first hand what area high school students are learning about including, bricklaying, tile setting and PCC, Pointer Cleaner Caulkers. It’s a busy show as host Stuart Keith meets up with Jim Vick, Mike Hyatt and Tiffany Tillis from BACWI and then catches up with Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks trying out some bricklaying. We move on to some cool restoration projects including the Germania Building in Milwaukee and the Capitol Heat and Power Plant in Madison. John Padberg from Berglund Construction offers a brief overview of each project and Zach Zander from BACWI Local 8 Milwaukee provides some of the restoration details being done at the Germania Building.
