The United Association’s (UA) District 4 Apprentice Contest returns to the Steamfitters Local 601 Training Center in Madison WI on June 8 and 9. Top Wisconsin apprentices will showcase their skills in Steamfitting, Welding, Plumbing, Sprinkler Fitting and HVAC Service in competition with apprentices from 10 neighboring states. They’ll be evaluated in soldering and brazing, pipe math and layout, welding, rigging, systems operation, installation, troubleshooting, and more. Winners will go on to compete at the UA International Competition in Ann Arbor MI in August. You can check out the action at the Public Open House and Contest viewing on June 9 from 9-11 am at 6310 Town Center Drive in Madison. This video features the 2019 Apprentice Contest.
