Residential sanitary and storm sewer laterals run from the home to the street and are the responsibility of the homeowner. Over time, they can deteriorate and start to leak. In this video from Building Wisconsin TV, we’ll show how residential sewer laterals are replaced as host Stuart Keith meets with Steve Breitlow from Plumbers Local 75 and Master Plumber Tom Zoulek from Mid City Corporation. Also, Becky Specht from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) explains their Pipecheck Program which can offset some of the cost to homeowners who need to replace their sewer laterals.
