In this video from Building Wisconsin TV, we’ll see how natural gas is being used for reliable base power generation to provide a bridge to the future. Host Stuart Keith begins with Terry McGowan from Wisconsin Operating Engineers Local 139 at their Training Campus in Coloma WI. Terry explains how power provides the fuel for construction and why our power plants in Wisconsin need to be upgraded to meet our state’s immediate need for more power. We’ll then head to the Oak Creek Generating Site to meet with Tim Rozumalski from We Energies to take a tour and learn how power is created at their Elm Road Generation Station. We’ll also hear from Dan Krueger from WEC Infrastructure and Generation Planning about We Energies proposed new 1,100 megawatt natural gas facility on the Oak Creek Campus.
