In this episode of Building Wisconsin TV, we’ll see how natural gas is being used for reliable base power generation to provide a bridge to the future. We’ll begin with Terry McGowan from the Wisconsin Operating Engineers at their training campus in Coloma WI. Terry explains how power provides the fuel for construction and why our power plants in Wisconsin need to be upgraded to meet our immediate need for more power in Wisconsin. We’ll then head to the Oak Creek Generating Site to meet up with Tim Rozumalski from We Energies to take a tour and learn how power is created at their Elm Road Generation Station. We’ll also hear from Dan Krueger from WEC Infrastructure and Generation Planning about We Energies proposed new 1,100 megawatt natural gas facility on the Oak Creek Campus.
