Learn about the training process for becoming a cement mason in Wisconsin with the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ of Local 599. Join Building Wisconsin TV host Stuart Keith as we travel to their training centers in Milwaukee and Madison. We’ll meet with OPCMIA Local 599 Business Manager Kilah Engelke to learn about how to apply and what a cement finishing apprenticeship includes. We’ll then meet with Training Instructor, Jerred Simonson to learn about the curriculum for each year. And finally, you’ll meet a first year, second year and third year apprentice to hear about their experiences as members of OPCMIA Local 599.
