The bipartisan Infrastructure Investment And Jobs Act is already starting to benefit Wisconsin. A number of road construction projects are either completed or in the works and the Department of Transportation will receive $80 million to replace multiple bridges in Columbia County. In this video from Building Wisconsin TV, host Stuart Keith meets with WiDot Secy. Craig Thompson who updates a number of projects around the state. Then WI Operating Engineers Local 139 President Terry McGowan explains how their members completed the Hwy 12/18 project that involved a new bridge overpass, installation of roundabouts, water management and reclamation of adjacent land. Finally, Robb Kahl from the Construction Business Group tells how high school students in Wisconsin can get started on an Operating Engineer career while still in school and be ready to graduate into an apprenticeship.
