New Year, New Career

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is a new career, check out the Building Trades. Plumbers, Electricians, Steamfitters, Operating Engineers – all are looking to recruit good workers. You’ll get paid while you’re learning valuable skills and pay is the same for women and men. You’ll also get health care, retirement benefits and a good work/life balance. In today’s video from Building Wisconsin TV, we feature the IBEW Local 494 Electrical Apprenticeship for Wisconsin. Host Stuart Keith meets with Dean Warsh and Dan Large from IBEW Local 494 to go over the application process along with the curriculum and training for an electrical career through the IBEW. Also, Milwaukee-area contractor Henry Hurt from Hurt Electric talks about available job opportunities.
